Shoppers have stripped off and queued outside a store in Paris to get free clothes as the winter sales kick off in France.
The event, which is organised by Spanish clothing brand Desigual, gave a hundred shoppers one hour to shop and choose two sale items which they could take home for free.
Despite having to wait in the cold, one shopper called Jeremy said it was worth the wait.
"For the sales, to win money, to pay less, to get free clothes," he said.
"To shop in the sales, I'm a fan of the brand and for the concept -- it's great," said Lucille, another contender in the race.
After running 100 metres, the scantily clad participants had an hour to browse the store and choose two sale items.
Shopper Estelle said the event was a great idea, especially for students.
"There are loads of people, it's original, I like it a lot. And what's more, there are a lot of clothes and they're cute, you can even choose from the coats, everything is really expensive here so the fact it's free is amazing. Students don't have any money," she said.
Rina Porta, head of communication for Desigual in France, said the experience was also good advertising for the brand.
"Desigual distinguishes itself with very different and original marketing and we think it's a creative and original way to welcome the sales," Porta told Reuters Television.
Sales in France are tightly controlled, with official start and end dates laid down by central and local government and continue until February 11.
